Carl has over thirty years’ experience in the equipment leasing, structured finance and project finance markets, with both commercial banks and finance companies. Carl engaged in principal investing and capital market activities throughout his banking career. Carl has significant experience structuring and arranging financing for industrial power, renewable energy and renewable fuels projects. Carl has arranged financing for biomass, ethanol, wind and solar projects including the Berkshire Wind Project in Western Massachusetts.

In 2009, the two partners formed ForesTech Energy LLC, which developed a 500,000-ton/year wood fuel pellet plant in East Texas. This plant ships its renewable source, CO2-neutral fuel product to the largest power plant in the United Kingdom where it replaces coal thus preventing an addition of over a million tons of CO2 per year into the atmosphere. ForesTech Energy has a second wood pellet plant under development in Mississippi.

About FTE Solar

FTE Solar was formed in 2014 by John Godfrey and Carl Vercollone, both with long
experience in development and execution of capital-intensive projects and both with experience in Renewable Energy. FTE Solar energized its first two solar facilities in late 2014 and presently have numerous others in process to energize in late 2015 and 2016.

John has 35 years’ experience in development, construction, operation and ownership of manufacturing facilities for engineered wood products including oriented strand board (OSB) mills in the Northeast USA, eastern Canada and Scotland, where he developed the first OSB mill in Europe. Each of these mills used renewable source fuels exclusively.
